Toddlers are fluent in exactly one language, and it is not the one you speak. You’ve made the snack. You’ve cut it the “right” way. You’ve served it on the plate they definitely loved yesterday. And still: “I don’t like it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Except they do like it. They liked it four minutes ago. They will like it again tomorrow. Something else entirely is going on. So we made a translation guide, because if we’re going to survive snack time, we might as well laugh through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translation:<\/em> Ask me again in 90 seconds. I will say yes and act like this is my idea.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Translation:<\/em> I want the exact same food, on a different plate, cut into a different shape, at a slightly different temperature.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Where the Right Gear Actually Helps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here’s the thing about toddler logic: you can’t out-argue it, but you can<\/em> remove some of the friction that sets it off in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translation:<\/em> You will watch this fourteen more times today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I did it by accident.”<\/strong>
Translation:<\/em> It was, in fact, extremely on purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you made it this far, you already know: none of this makes sense, and all of it is somehow completely normal. The plate wars are real. The “again!” loop is real. And the right gear won’t fix toddler logic, but it can make snack time a little smoother while you wait for the next phase to start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
